History

Step into the historic Berlage building, designed 125 years ago by the famous architect "H.P. Berlage". On your way to your modern room, you will pass by many original features from over a century ago. Our staff will be happy to tell you more about the history of the hotel and its former occupants. Berlage designed many historic buildings in the Netherlands, recognizable by his specific style and the use of sustainable materials. Let yourself be surprised by the special staircase, the beautiful ceiling, and the stained glass windows. Your rooms are equipped with all modern amenities and designed by Etienne Bouten, who, not coincidentally, is a great admirer of Berlage.

Design
The hotel is designed in a way that does justice to its historic character. The restaurant, bar, and rooms provide a warm and homely atmosphere. Black steel, wood, and glass are the main materials used to give you an unforgettable memory. Check out the various city coats of arms in the staircase, stained glass windows, and gold leather wallpaper and experience the business life of a century ago.

Location
Due to its unique location in the center of The Hague, attractions like Palace Noordeinde, The Binnenhof, the Great Church, the Mauritshuis, and Escher in the Palace are within walking distance of the hotel. Don't forget The Hague's shopping heart, which has been voted 'best shopping area in the Netherlands' several times. If shopping and/or visiting museums has given you a hearty appetite, then… Then there's Chinatown or one of the many restaurants in the area.
We are happy to advise you, the choice is enormous.
